Mercy Is Showing Kindness to Someone Who Doesn't Deserve It

Mercy is showing kindness to some one who doesn't deserve it. And jesus says, blessed are those who are merciful, for you will receive mercy. In my brain, i sometimes wonder why there is such a disconnection between how good it feels to receive cy, verse is how stingy i am internally with wanting and being willing to give mercy to some one else.
