The Free State of Jones
My ancestors, there's something called the Free State of Jones in the US. During the Confederacy and before the Confederacy, there was a group of Calvinists that moved into the South. And they ended up forming a breakaway state during the Civil War. I am the direct descendant of 15 of the 50 members who started this or was in one. There were a lot of them that are in my direct descendant pathway to an extent that really shocked me.
