Introduction
The number of white evangelicals in the united states has been increasing. This is not, by some measures, a community on the decline. It's community, as a percentage of americans, on the rise. The term really begins to take hold in the english speaking world around the great awakening. Many historians would say that the great awakening is responsible for much of American identity and political structure.
