The Importance of Biblical Audiences

Christians tend to find Satan in way more places in the Bible than he actually is. I mean, look through your Elijah lens when you look at John because that's what's happening here. He's playing a character among the people of God very similarly to the role that Elijah played with the Old Testament people of God. This is what biblical authors do.
