Amitai Etzioni: Most of our civilizational CPUs, our ability to sort of make sense together are just getting de-dossed by the internet. He says we can see like people spinning fractally off into like algorithmic reality bubbles and weird selection pressure for memes that are kind of like social scissors and you know, and disinformation. And in general, it just seems like the complexity of the environment is like at least an order of magnitude too large for those institutions.
