What You Need to Know About Aortic Dissections
There are two commonly used classification systems for aortic dissection. The debake system categorizes dissections based on the origin of the intermaltere and the extent of the dissectionad there's the stamford system, which divides dissections according to whether the ascending aorta is involved or not. And whilst this might be of little interest to those of us who work in e d, it does have some meaning to the vascular teams who will be treating the patient.
