The Importance of Afrocentricity in African Studies

The countries and the nations in Africa during colonialism and enslavement that were less monarchical or less tied up in the kind of kings and queens thing. They were more able to actually resist the imposition of European domination. And so, you know, I do appreciate that about his understanding of Afro centricity is not it's not about saying that everyone needs to have the same type of focus on Africa but that as African people, we have to look back to our own histories, our own past and think about what that means for ourselves and the present right.
