#488: Does Time of Day Impact Hunger, Appetite & Satiety?

Sigma Nutrition Radio

CHAPTER

The Circadian Rhythm in Hunger

The study used repeating 12 hour cycles of 20 hour quote unquote days. The participants don't know it's 8pm because remember they're on this forced-easing crony protocol. There was a 17% difference between the low point and the peak. This is clearly showing that there is a strong circadian rhythm in hunger, which independent of other factors appears to be greatest in what would be our clock time evening at around 8pm. And again, we could tie this back to some de Castro stuff and maybe an explanation for why there's higher subjective hunger in this period.
