What Is the Contingency of the Great Depression in Germany?

The late nineteenth century is a kind of playground, or gisney land, for people who are interested in alternative modes of knowing. And so you have in britain, france, america, all sorts of people conducting seances and trying to in terro readings. But two things that i think are different about germany, historically, even before the great depression, which is the final triggering event. The industrial revolution and modernity, which, again, is destabilizing traditional structures everywhere. There's definitely, i would say, a more public political aspect to the supernatural imaginary in those countries. And there's a more racial aspect to it.
