A postpartum patient, it's not normal to have a hematocrit of 39%. This patient was probably already significantly hemoconcentrated even when she presented. Her platelets on admission were 162, still in the normal range. But then we start seeing some changes within the platelets. They became very large and began to clump which again demonstrates that process of the pathophysiology of sepsis or septic shock. Now we have a depletion or a low number of platelets at 143. Their sodium is another lab that we would want to look at. An on admission was very high. It was outside of the normal ranges higher. So her ability to hold fluid
