Pelmet, Sir, Skirt of Helmet

Pelmet is slang for an extremely short skirt. Lambrikinno or a lambre quin, is a pelmet with such deep sides they extend to the floor. If a curtain was analogous to a pair of legs, that little bed at the top would be a pelmet. But that feels like one must be named after the other.
