What Would Taiwan Do Differently?
The US is still by far the leader when it comes to design. We do manufacture a fair number, but it's a smaller share than we used to. 30 years ago, around 30% of the world's chips were made in the US. Today, only around 10%. The fact that key chip designers in the US are so reliant on production in Taiwan strikes a lot of people as pretty dangerous.
