Nina Simone: A Great Life

Nina Simone died at her home in France in April 2003, she was 70. Joanna McGregor did it all end quite as sadly as markers seem to suggest. I can't pretend that she had an easy domestic life ever, and that is often the way of somebody who is explosive and artistically on a knife edge. A lot of what Mark was describing is the ravages of old age anyway. Perhaps what's hard to disentangle with Nina Simone is how much of that was physical with this outfit she was feeling because of her long hard life of touring or mental anguish.
