Asheville Police Release Body Camera Footage of the Arrest of Two Journalists in Aston Park

Several of our clients, you know, are being hit with these felony charges and then shortly after with park bans. And the arrest of journalists in a democracy is very, or should be very rare and should be troubling. These journalists were not shy about their critique of the city and how it's handling the unhoused community. That critique is protected by the First Amendment. The city of Asheville, I think, is just doing its own thing when it's allowing arrests of journalists.
