The Subtitle of the Book Is How Mind Emerges From Matter
The subtitle of the book is something like how mind emerged from matter. And there's a lot of science in the book, but also a lot of philosophy. So did the universe once exist in a state where there was no consciousness at all? And this emerged only after material substrates came to be patterned in specific ways. If we think of nature as only made up of material or matter and energy, we've missed something absolutely. We just have to recognize that the universe has negative and positive aspects.
