The Story of Appmed Mohammed Hassan
Appmed Mohammed Hassan was forced to land his MiG-17 on a desolate beach in Somalia during the country's civil war. After landing safely he found himself alone and with no way of going home. He eventually met two fishermen who took him by boat to Djibouti city where he reunited with his wife and three children. In 2008 Abbed made his first visit back to Hargesam, which has since been rebuilt after being almost completely destroyed along with Borro.
