Lakers signed Andrew Russell to a four year deal at 13 and a half million dollars. If he had signed the qualifying offer, just a one year deal, he would have been a full restricted free agent next year. He said that he and his agents talked through every permutation of what he could possibly do but ultimately he wanted to be in LA.
