Lacan: Enjoyment as transgression is definitely not the only way to enjoy. The commandment to enjoy is fundamentally sadistic, he says. We can't because our basic structure as subjects within a society is to have renunciated our access to enjoyment,. Lacan's wager here is important to note though and we're right on the verge of it.
