Before fore the automatic horwashes hadn't been doing very well. Automatic car washes appeared in britain in in the 19 seventies. They did really, really well in the seventies and eighties. It seemed like this was going to be the way that cars were kept clean forever. But then they started to decline, and they actually became less numerous.
