I think there are more faux pas on the East Coast in the big cities. I recently interviewed Nick Layton from the podcast, Were You Raised by Wolves,. He did an episode on etiquette crimes in New York City. There's a lot of them in New York, right? Putting your umbrella up that's too big or walking too slowly. Broaching certain topics like sex, religion, and politics is considered rude at a dinner party where you don't know people very well.
