Is There a Difference Between Surgical Checklists and the Airline Industry?
Hospitals are using a WHO surgical safety checklist. But studies have shown that only 60 to 65% of its actually is complied well. The problem is, you know, if an incident happened this morning in London, and if a similar incident is about to happen tomorrow morning in Glasgow, there is no way to transfer that knowledge from London to Glasgow overnight. So we need a transformation here,. how safety is taken care of in the hospitals, but also how learning happens across healthcare for years. Think of it as a operating system like Tesla's flight.
