The History of Egypt

Ptolemaic Egypt was overshadowed by the New Kingdom. Various pharaohs ruled Egypt and maintained its great extent. Armand Hotept the fourth introduced Artanism as the kingdom's religion. His outlawing of other worship changed Egypt from polytheistic to monotheistic. Antipata was a very old man of nearly 80 years old so it would have been unlikely for him to want to actively oppose Perdiccus on the battlefield.
