Twain: We're all always behaving to our own gratification, of our own self steem. And even in things that appear to be selfless actions, we only do them because they make us get off. But yet, that's the one thing that actually did really surprise me about this,. essa is the emphasis on conscience as being the master, as opposed to mere pleasure. At times, it seems that what you're trying to do is satisfy your conscience, but you're satisfying it because of the feeling you get.
