The Importance of the Second Temple

The Talmud mentions a few other things that are missing from the second temple, right? So in the rabbis' opinion, the second temple is lesser than the first temple. But what I think is really fascinating is if you look in Acts 1 and 2, you start to find some of those things. And this makes perfect sense of the kind of sacramental typology here. If it really is a restoration of the true temple, now composed of these living stones who are the apostles, then it makes perfect sense in terms of the continuity of divine revelation and salvation history for them to be present there.
