What Is a Strep-a Infection?

Parents shouldn't panic that all children will have severe disease from this. Group A strep can cause mild infections such as tonsillitis and impotigo. It can also cause scarlet fever, which stinks sand-papery-like rash on the skin. In some children it can become invasive, so that is getting to the bloodstream.
