The Attributes of a Good Appellate Advocate
Clarity, first and foremost, if you listen to David Pannock's submissions in the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court, the primary thing about his submissions are that they are extremely clear and easy to follow. Repetition of your submissions goes down extremely badly. And usually indicates a lack of confidence in your case. So start with your best point; don't have too many points because they'll have lost interest by the time you get to number six on number seven.
