The Ignorance of Hydroquinone Creams
I think there is a little bit of ignorance there as well. A lot of these ingredients sound scary if you use certain language around them, but in reality they're used to even out pigmentation. So the racism comes with the whole like, my whole face was lightened and the inherent thinking that that's a better thing. I don't want to do a disservice to a woman of color who wants to get rid of one dark spot on her cheek and might need these ingredients.
