The Great Dignity of the Wife

In each sphere, leadership is meant to be about willingly giving up one's own preference and comfort for the sake of bettering those under your care. And so Paul is showing the great dignity of the wife as a fellow image bearer before God. She's to submit herself to her own husband as unto the Lord. So husbands here are to willingly give up their own preference. There's a second relationship that we ought to talk about here: Children and parents.
