The Utilitarian and the Consequentialist Positions
As a consequentialist, I want to put forward ethical views that will achieve the maximum benefits. In my book The Life You Can Save, I suggest more reasonable percentages of incomes that scale up as you earn more. For those like me who aren't philosophy-pilled, talking about the blending of the position of a utilitarian with that of a consequentialist is almost like a blending of the two positions. But there are real world restrictions on that that need to be filtered through.
