COVID - Is There a Challenge?
Real wage growth has been negative, because overall consumer prices have been rising faster than people's income. We did see a surge in demand for more housing space. People wanting to live alone because they're working from home. And I think there's part of this shift that was COVID specific. So my sense is, yes, the Fed does understand that there is a challenge here.
