The quality and source of my food has been a top priority for me for many years, but I've always felt a sense of guilt and hypocrisy for the degree to which I was separated from the 'nitty-gritty' of the sacrifices involved in sourcing my food. I've longed for a closer and more considerate relationship to what is required to be provided with the nutrition required to sustain myself optimally. I feel we've haphazardly done away with recognizing the importance of intention and ritual in what has been, and should still be treated as, a sacred affair (taking a life so that I/you may continue yours).
As a result, when I was recommended Mansal's book 'Sacred Hunting', I immediately bought and read it.
Mansal is bringing back 'the sacred' to our relationship to our sustenance, and in the process, helping people awaken valuable aspects of themselves, and heal others, that have been too-long and detrimentally ignored or suppressed.
