The Importance of Understanding Russians
I've been fairly open here that I think there is no justification for what is clearly an illegal war. We really do have to hear what is being said in Russia, this feeling of being threatened by the West and feeling threatened by NATO. This is partly a defensive war against a West which wants to dominate the world. When Lavrov was speaking at a meeting in India and he spoke about how Russia was attacked by Ukraine, the audience from friendly countries to Russia just laughed at him,. but when he talked about the West applied double standards, they applauded him.
