The more often we're exposed to a bias, the more we internalize it. Over 20 promotion cycles, the top level of the work place ended up being 87 % men. And that's why, i think when we talk about things like choice or free will, it becomes really complicated.

Jessica Nordell is an award-winning author, science writer, and speaker known for blending rigorous science with compassionate humanity. She is the recipient of a Gracie Award from American Women in Radio and Television, was named a Best New Poet by Tracy K. Smith, and was a 2022 featured speaker at SXSW.
