Do Insects Have Memory?
It's do insects have a sense of subjective experience. We talked about it on one of our test episodes, which you can find on our Patreon.com page. The study I looked at said that butterflies could remember some experiences from being a caterpillar. So in theory, they do have some memory. Whether you say that like memory or avoiding pain is a subjective experience is a bit different. It's objective in the sense that they learnt another butterfly in their situation wouldn't know that.
