Nostalgia and the Civil War

Nostalgia is a condition where people long for things that have already passed. American military doctor Teddy Calhoun thought nostalgia was something to be ashamed of. Other dubious cures right over the years include leeches purging the stomach and quote warm hypnotic emotions. There's really no drastic treatment today, but you know there are modern treatments for nostalgia.
