A mystery religion refers to a type of religious cult or secret society. That is known for its secretive practices and beliefs that are only revealed to initiated members. Examples of a mystery religions include the ancient Greek cults of Alicia's and Mitharism wasn't Greek, as well as early Christian groups such as Gnosticism.
