I would love for the Loch Ness Monster to be real, but I don't think it's a placeusaur. The reason reports of the monster suddenly took off in 1933 was because of King Kong,. It is more likely that reports the creature are misidentifications and take their inspiration from the monster craze that King Kong spawned. No matter how much I'd love the Loch Ness monster to exist, there likely isn't anything truly strange at the basis of this story.
