The Role of Breach Presentation in Infant Delivery
About 25 to 30% of fetuses will be in a breach presentation at 28 weeks but this drops down to about 3 to 4% at term. Most infants who are in breach presentation at time of delivery will have a C section because the rates of vaginal delivery of a breach have just gone down over the years. Remember that implies normal neuronal activity and normal muscular tone.
