Is the Individual in Decline?

The individual, the world seems to have gotten very collective in some sense. Zohar: Hobbes invented this idea of something that can't really be divided anymore. He says there's always a backlash against whatever is culturally ascended earlier. The question is what's going to fill that gap? Baudrillard proposes consumerism will fill that gap.
