How Statins Reduce Heart Attacks

The first outcome data showing that statins really do reduce heart attacks didn't come until 1994. You can get anywhere from 20 to depending which statin and dose you use up to a 50% reduction in LDL cholesterol. But almost all of the LDL receptor, the LDL cholesterol or APOB reduction comes with the baby, the starter dose of the statin.
