Is There Any Backlash Against 2D HD Art Styles?

I think there's a soft backlash out there happening against 2D HD but I think it looks great. Someone wrote into games who are actually saying that they just don't get it, they don't like it at all. And actually I've seen some posts from some pixel artists who don't like this style for whatever reason. They have ray tracing on PS5. That's not a joke. I want to see action games in this style and 3Dgame heroes was a little bit like this and that works really well.
