Shakespeare's Globe Theater

Shakespeare's plays were written during a time when the theater scene in England was booming. The Globe Theater, where he wrote Julius Caesar, would have been very loud and packed with people who couldn't hear each other. Shakespeare had to tell stories that could speak above the noise of the crowd but also be kind of raunchy or sad as well.
