How to Stop Grey Hair From Turning Grey

Scientists from New York University Grossman School of Medicine have discovered why hair turns grey and how to stop it happening. Cells that produce hair colour are called melanin-cite stem cells, MCSEs. They produce melanin, the pigment that gives hair its natural colour. But as hair ages, sheds and grows back, some MCSEs get stuck in a compartment called the Hair follicle bulge, where they remain immature and unable to produce melanin. This results in grey, white or silver hair. If we can just get those MCSEs moving, we need never be grey, at least in theory.
