The Hollowness of Populism in Asian American Culture

Vicki makes a point about this. There's this kind of populism that gets invoked where, you know, one of the police statements about I think it was about Ferguson was they're talking about like they burned down our Walmart and it's like, what do you mean, our Walmart? Like, everyone who works in the Walmart gets fucked. Everyone has to buy from the Walmart. But it's just really hollow like populism. You assemble a community based around the around around the corporation.
