The Recommendation of Lucius Keonius Commodus

Hadrian could have settled Servianus's discontent by choosing some worthy man. The choice of Lucius Keonius Commodus does seem a curious one taken on its own though. But like I say, it is entirely possible that Hadrian was looking beyond Lucius to the man or men he really wanted to control the empire down the road.
