The Human Side of Unanswered Prayer

The centre of all unanswered prayer is relationship. In it, there is some measure of love and trust that informs both our asking and the expectation. We see not just humanity, but relationship born out of trust and love on display here in our text. Next we see jesus show up, without excuse or answers, but with a revelation of himself that would change their present and future reality.
