I hope that human homosapiens are the end of the line for evolution in a survival of the fittest sense. The most positive long-term futures that I can imagine involve some degree of emerge. It doesn't have to be the crazy sci-fi, like, you know, plug something into our brains or upload ourselves or whatever.
