There is a hierarchy of deference that is very important to people's conception of how decent left-leaning progressive people interact with one another. To me, I just have no interest in any of this because it's not material. It does not change whether or not black kids are going to end up getting food if they're poor and hungry. It doesn't change whether trans people are given dignity and respect by society. And of course, it's misguided because people from any political background can be wrong.
