One gram of gold is worth 550 ganinean cities which is equivalent to 48 pounds sterling 56 euros or 55 US dollars. Job opportunities in many parts of Ghana are scarce and therefore going for gold when it's here in abundance is an obvious route to regular cash. Some reports say you can make up to 20,000 within a few weeks. If I did get another job I could quit the gallamsee but until then I have to keep on doing gallamsee for a living.
