Do Dialects of Japanese Have a Pitch Accent?
There are some dialects of Japanese that have different pitch accents for the words. And then there are even some that don't have pitch accent at all. People from Tokyo, people from Kyoto or as well as the southern and northern parts of Japan can talk to each other without an issue. Most of the time, Kansai Venn is pretty easy to learn to understand. You just don't come across random small minor dialects in Japanese media unless you go to that specific region.
